Thank you to the counties, states, governments, and individuals who do the work of collecting and managing tax and GIS data nationwide.

All around the country and all around the world, local government offices do the hard work of generating and maintaining authoritative parcel records to track and manage land subdivision, ownership, taxation, permissions, and services.

In the United States this is foundationally public record information. A world of secret land ownership, secret taxation, and secret subdivision is a world Americans have long ago decided they do not want. Many countries around the world also agree.

We all stand on the backs of giants, and Regrid stands on the universe of public record parcel facts generated by an army of people working in local and state government for public benefit.

Our job is hard and necessary, and increasingly goes far beyond the parcel facts produced in this way, but no one can do this type of work without the counties, states, governments, and individuals who do the work of collecting, managing, and sharing source data with the public.

We see and respect and appreciate and applaud them all, and always seek ways to support and give back. Thank you, and please don’t be a stranger if we haven’t met yet.
