Getting Started with the Regrid Interactive API Sandbox

Welcome to the Regrid Interactive API Sandbox

Here you will find access to all of our RESTful API endpoints. All endpoints are openAPI enabled and preloaded with all applicable parameters for each endpoint and sample data for quickly testing the response return. Please note that all endpoint usage is tracked on a per record returned basis. This means that your usage increments for every returned parcel record.

An API token is required to authenticate requests. The Interactive API Sandbox is open to various authentication tokens. Based on the access of your token, you will have access to either a subset of data listed below in our sample counties or full access to nationwide data.

If you already have an API token, you can test the API endpoints with your current token. However the data available will be subjected to your provisioned API token.

General FAQs

1. How is this different then our Self Serve free trial option?
   Our Self Serve free trial option gives you 7 days free of nationwide access based on selected Self-Serve option versus our trial API account only gives access to a subset of the nationwide data at 7 counties with access to the Premium data and Enterprise data products.
2. Can I get an extension after I reach my free trial limit?
   The trial API token maximum limit is 2000 returned parcels with no extension for additional parcels.
3. Can I get an extension after the 30 days have expired?
   The API trial token has a maximum of 30 days and does not have the option for extension after the expiration. However you can continue your access with upgrading to a Self Serve API plan where we offer two options between Standard data or Premium data.
4. Does it require a credit card to access an Interactive API Sandbox token?
   There is no requirement to enter a credit card number to access the Interactive API Sandbox or obtain an API trial token. When you are ready to upgrade, it will require use of a credit card.
5. How up to date is the data for the geographies included in the Interactive API Sandbox?
   All data in the Interactive API Sandbox is our most current, live data.
6. Can I use the Interactive API Sandbox if I already have a production token provided through Self Serve or an Enterprise Annual License?
   Yes, if you already have an API token, you are welcome to use the Interactive API Sandbox. Based on the access of your API token will dictate what data is returned through the Interactive API Sandbox.
7. Where do I get the geo coordinates to use to define a Polygon Shape?
   If you do not have your own method to gathering geo coordinates, you can use Geojson.io. You can simply copy and paste the geojson into our GET Polygon Search endpoint and test out the area. You will have to make sure the polygon shape is less than 80 sq miles.
8. What are the differences between a monthly subscription or an Annual license?
   A license, both the self-subscribe monthly and the enterprise annual, to the Regrid API work against an established quantity of records purchased with your license and incorporate additional parameters such as overage license charges and “use them or lose them” for the licensed quantity of records during the period.
   • Our self-subscribe access bills, provisions, measures, reports consumption, and resets each month
   • The enterprise license bills, provisions, measures, reports consumption, and resets annually.
     Organizations that are looking at a growth scaling of volume requirements or have seasonality to their business may be better served by the annual reset inherent in an enterprise license. This minimizes risks of both incurring overage charges or of not consuming the full quantity of data that you have under license. By enabling businesses to utilize the allotted parcel limit in a manner that aligns with their operational needs, an Annual license can offer greater certainties and convenience
